Items Definitions

You can specify common properties for each item sold or bought from the company. It is useful to have standard list which can be searched filtered and reports can be made from. Items will show up on sales and purchases invoices.

Navigate to Items Definitions

"WAREHOUSE" > "ITEMS DEFINITIONS"

What information is shown for each item definition

Name             - Name of the Item.
Measurement Unit - Metric measurement units.
Unit Weight/kg   - Unit Weight in kg. Useful when preparing for transportation to know what equipment will be needed based on weight.
Item Group       - Group to which belongs this item.
Item Type        - `Reusable`, `Expendable`, `Consumable`, `Services`. You decide in which type to set the item.

Item Types

  • Reusable, are items like tools scaffolding's machines etc.
  • Consumable, are items like fuel, oil etc.
  • Services, are all non physical items like hotels, lawyer services, architecture consulting services etc.
  • Expendable, are all other items.

On which columns you can filter

Item Name - Selectable from drop down filtered list.
Item Group - Selectable from drop down filtered list.

Create View Edit Delete Items Definitions

Create

On main screen for Items Definitions Toolbar Icon Create New Item Definition You will be present with screen where you can enter Item Name, Measurement Unit, Unit Weight, Item Type, Item Group and Item Code.

Item Group and Item Code will be concatenated and appended in front of Item Name on all screens for easy filtering only on those codes.

View

On main screen for Items Definitions click on any of the Items Definitions rows.

Edit

On main screen for Items Definitions click on any of the Items Definitions rows. You can change all the fields.

Delete

On main screen Items Definitions Toolbar Icon Delete
